It features an alder body, maple neck with ebony fretboard and shark fin inlays, 24 jumbo frets, a hard tail bridge, HH configuration, volume knob, tone knob and a 3 way switch. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the way Vs are when you sit down.
They feel very uncomfortable to me as you have to sit in a classical style and support the neck a bit. That said, the guitar has very nice access to the higher frets thanks to its neck-thru body. The coolest thing about this guitar is the compound fretboard radius. This allows chording at the lower register to be much easier, but huge bends at the higher frets don't fret out like they normally would. The JB in the bridge is an extreme versatile pickup that can really cover most any style, and thanks to this wood selection, it allows it to really shine.
The neck pickup in this guitar is actually a JB as well. While I'm not a huge fan of the JB in the neck, it can work for some people. Personally, I swap it out for a Duncan ' Given that they're a bit expensive new, I recommend looking on the used market for one of these.
You should be able to find plenty of deals on eBay and forums. Did you find this review helpful? Access in acute could not be easier.
This guitar is perfectly balance, ergonomics is perfect. Except in Assisi position, but this is inhrent these forms of guitar. It is made for big sound. The strap locks are even included the original! She has the mouth, it is enjoyable to play, it is its weight it should feel like we have the wood on the shoulders I use several amps dj EVH, Bogner, Marshallwhenever the sound is standard, bold, heavy, and yet incisive and prcis trs.
I have not really tested in the clear And I use almost exclusively the bridge pickup I must say that I really like Jackson, I play also on other models but this one suits me particulirement! I can not talk about quality-price ratio because I have same price The quality is exceptional, sitting is not advised The only "ngatif" on the fly box that is standard double that of a stratum!

Crosby popularized the guitar throughout the s, however the guitar he played most often was his Double Rhoads guitar, a modified design of the Jackson Rhoads guitar. King V model surfaced as a down-sized version of the Double Rhoads, which was designed and targeted for shorter, more ordinary person Crosby was 6. Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine eventually became the guitarist most identified with using this model.
After creating a custom King V for Mustaine completed October 10,the company later began mass-producing a Dave Mustaine Signature Series King V, which featured 24 frets as opposed to the typical 22 frets and would become one of their best selling guitars. This line continued into the early s, when it underwent massive changes and became the Y2KV, a guitar based much more heavily on the Gibson Flying V.
Mustaine then sold his entire personal collection of Jacksons, and subsequently signed endorsement deals with ESP Guitars then Dean Guitars. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Jackson USA Select Series KV2T King V
Randy RhoadsPM. What are my options? I plan to add cash on my end. What models are good? Thanks Edwin. Tags: None. Well why are you trading it in the first place? If it's the overall "full" v shape then you might want the Rhoads. Comment Post Cancel. I had a RR1 and it did nose dive a bit. I have a kv1 and it's perfectly balanced. Same will be with the kv2's.
It mainly just doesn't get played. I'm looking for something that will get more playing time. I'm not a big fan of the RR shape. Well, actually, I'm not much of a V-guy in the first place, but I've had both and must say I did prefer the KV, mostly because it had 24 frets.
I also preferred the better balance of the KV over the RR. The extra weight on the bottom wing helps keep the nose up without using a strap that relies on friction, which just transfers the pull to your shoulder where it doesn't belong. Gotta be the first model range in Jackson's history that didn't get the Rhoads. I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
The RR seems more comofortable to play for me standing up than the KV. While sitting down with the RR, you have to prop your left leg up a little more in the classical position like Randy did or use a strap and wear it up higherbut it's not too bad. Overall, I prefer the RR. I feel my soul go cold I have played a RR1 and RR1t live for years. I have never had a problem with nose diving at all. The RR seems to sit right in the zone as it were for playing. I never had a problem with my RR3 nosediving.Post a Comment.
